J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s latest Retirement Insights report,"Searching for Certainty," has generated strong media coverage with at least seven news publications picking up coverage of the findings since the paper’s release in June.
The paper—which presents the results of an online survey conducted with over 1,000 individuals with 401(k) plans nationwide—finds that many Americans are underestimating how much money they will need in retirement with about two-thirds of respondents admitting they don’t know how much they should save. The paper also noted that most Americans, stung by the recession, have pushed aside retirement savings priorities, which rank a distant second to paying monthly bills.
To date, the publications that have picked up coverage of the retirement paper include Dow Jones Newswires, Pensions & Investments, AdvisorOne.com, 401kWire.com, Money Management Executive, PLANSPONSOR and PlanAdviser.
